Code No. C2224 FCM switch




OPERATION


When the clearance warning control unit recognises that the forward collision mitigation system (FCM) and Ultrasonic misacceleration Mitigation System ON/OFF switch is turned on for at least one minute, the ECU sets diagnosis code No. C2224.

TROUBLE JUDGEMENT

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics


Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.

Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ).

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III data list.


Check the ASTC-ECU system data list (Refer to GROUP 35C - Data List Reference Table ).

STEP 3. Check of short to earth circuit in power supply line between the ASTC-ECU connector and forward collision mitigation system (FCM) and Ultrasonic misacceleration Mitigation System ON/OFF switch connector.


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.

Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

STEP 4. Check the forward collision mitigation system (FCM) and Ultrasonic misacceleration Mitigation System ON/OFF switch.

Replace the forward collision mitigation system (FCM) and Ultrasonic misacceleration Mitigation System ON/OFF switch (Refer to ).
