Code No. C2355:
Reception of the UMS prohibition signal
OPERATION
The clearance warning control unit sets diagnosis code No. C2355 when it receive the UMS
prohibition signal from the engine-ECU via CAN communication.
TROUBLE JUDGEMENT
The conditions below are satisfied:
- UMS prohibition signal is sent from the engine-ECU for at least 2 seconds.
- Vehicle speed: 10 km/h or less
PROBABLE CAUSES
- The CAN bus line is defective.
- Malfunction of the engine-ECU
- Malfunction of the clearance warning control unit

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis
|
|
|
Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
|
|
|
Q.
Is the check result normal?
|
|
|
 Go to Step 3.
|
|
|
|
|
|
 Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting). On completion,
go to Step 2.

|
|
|
STEP 2. Diagnosis code recheck after repairing CAN bus lines
|
|
|
Q.
Is diagnosis code No. C2355 set?
|
|
|
Go to Step 3.
|
|
|
|
|
|
This diagnosis is complete.

|
|
|
STEP 3. Use M.U.T.-III to confirm a diagnosis code of other systems.
|
|
|
Check that the engine-ECU sets a diagnosis code.
|
|
|

Is the diagnosis code set?
|
|
|
Troubleshoot the engine-ECU diagnosis code (Refer to GROUP 13B - Diagnosis
Code Chart <6B3> or GROUP 13C - Diagnosis Code Chart <4N1>).

STEP 4. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.

Check again if the diagnosis code is set.

(1)Erase the set diagnosis code.
|
|
|
(2)Ignition switch: "LOCK" (OFF) position

(3)Ignition switch: "ON" position
|
|

Replace the clearance warning control unit.
|
|
|
|
|
|
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How
to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction).
