Inspection Procedure 1: Power of the multivision display does not turn ON when the ignition switch is in the "ACC" position or "ON" position.

Before replacing the multivision display, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.

OPERATION
When the ignition switch is in the ON or ACC position, the multivision display power can be turned ON. With the multivision display power ON, when the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position, the power for multivision display is also turned OFF.
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
Provided that the audio diagnosis code is not set, if the power for multivision display cannot be turned ON, the multivision display, or power supply circuit for multivision display may have a problem.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunctions of multivision display
- Damaged harness wires and connectors

STEP 1. Voltage measurement at smartphone link display audio connector.
|
|
|
(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
|
|
|
(2)Ignition switch: "ACC" position
|
|
|
(3)Check the voltage between the smartphone link display audio connector (ACC terminal) and body earth.
OK: System voltage

STEP 2. Check of short to power supply, short to earth and open circuit in ACC line between smartphone link display audio connector and ignition switch (ACC)

STEP 3. Voltage measurement at smartphone link display audio connector (+B terminal).
|
|
|
(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
|
|
|
(2)Check the voltage between the smartphone link display audio connector (+B terminal) and body earth.
OK: System voltage

STEP 4. Check of short to power supply, short to earth, and open circuit +B line between fusible link and smartphone link display audio connector.
