caution Before replacing the multivision display, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM


If the multivision display does not play any audio data sent by rear display unit, rear display unit or multivision display may be defective.
note Before troubleshooting, check that the audio component works normally.

PROBABLE CAUSES



DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check if the error message is displayed on the multivision display.
(Refer to .)

Q. Is the error message displayed on the monitor?
YES : Refer to error massage (refer to ), take necessary steps.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check the service data for multivision display.
Using the multivision display diagnosis mode, check if the "Communication Check" (Refer to ).

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Go to Step 4.

STEP 3. Check of rear display unit.
Check that the rear display unit.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Diagnose the rear display unit (Refer to rear display unit - Troubleshooting).

STEP 4. Check of short to power supply, short to earth and open circuit in TVR, TVL, TVG and V-ON line between rear display unit connector and smartphone link display audio connector.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 5.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

STEP 5. Retest the system
Check whether the multivision display plays any audio data sent by rear display unit.

Q. Is the check result normal?
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction).
Replace the multivision display.
