Inspection Procedure 7: The USB adapter data cannot be replayed.



caution
  • Before replacing the multivision display, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
  • Check whether the multivision display supports your audio device or an audio file format.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM


If the sound replay is impossible with the USB/iPod® mode, the USB/HDMI cable or multivision display may be defective.

  • Before troubleshooting, check that the music file (the customer tried to replay) can be replayed.
  • When any error is found in a connected iPod, first check whether it is an official product.

STEP 1. Check if the error message is displayed on the multivision display.

Q. Is the error message displayed on the monitor?

YES : Refer to error massage (refer to ), take necessary steps. If the USB memory/iPod® is still not be played, go to Step 2.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check the service data for multivision display.


Using the multivision display diagnosis mode, check if the "Communication Check" (Refer to ).

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check the USB cable.


Check that the USB cable is connected to the multivision display normally. Or check the USB/HDMI cable for damage such as bend.

Go to Step 4.
Replace or repair the USB/HDMI cable (Refer to ).

STEP 4. Retest the system


Check whether an audio file, which is stored in the USB memory/iPod®, can be played.

Q. Is the check result normal?

The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction).
Replace the multivision display (Refer to ).
