Code No.B1855: GPS/GLONASS Antenna Connection

  • Park the vehicle in an open area where radio wave is not shielded.
  • When replacing the ECU, always check that the communication circuit is normal.

PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Check the connection of GPS/GLONASS antenna feeder’s connector and e-Call control unit.


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2

Thoroughly connect the GPS/GLONASS antenna feeder’s connector and the e-Call control unit.

STEP 2. Check if there is any damage to the GPS/GLONASS antenna feeder and GPS/GLONASS antenna.


Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3

Replace the GPS/GLONASS antenna feeder and GPS/GLONASS antenna.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.


Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the e-Call control unit.
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(3)Check if diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the GPS/GLONASS antenna (Refer to ). Then go to Step 4.

Intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction).

STEP 4. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.


Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the e-Call control unit.
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(3)Check if diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the e-Call control unit (Refer to ).

The diagnosis is complete.
