Code No.B1860: e-Call Battery Connection



caution When replacing the ECU, always check that the communication circuit is normal.

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION


When the system determines that the e-Call battery is disconnected, the e-Call control unit sets diagnosis code No. B1860.
note When diagnosis code No. B1860 is set, the e-Call switch flashes in green.

PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Check e-Call battery connector

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2

Repair the connector or replace the e-Call battery (Refer to ). Then M.U.T.-III special function - Reset (Refer to ).

STEP 2. Check e-Call battery




Connect a voltmeter between the e-Call battery connector terminals, and check whether a needle of analog tester fluctuates.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3

Replace the e-Call battery (Refer to ). Then M.U.T.-III special function - Reset (Refer to ).

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.


Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the e-Call control unit.
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(3)Check if diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the e-Call control unit (Refer to ).

Intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction).
