Code No. U0151: SRS-ABG CAN Timeout




caution
  • If diagnosis code No.U0151 is set, be sure to diagnose the CAN main bus line.
  • When replacing the ECU, always check that the communication circuit is normal.

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION


If signals from the SRS-ECU transmitted via CAN bus line cannot be received, diagnosis code No.U0151 is set.

  • When diagnosis code No. U0151 is set, the e-Call switch flashes in green.
  • When diagnosis code No. U0151, B1852, or B1853 is set, the e-Call switch illuminates in red.

PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis



Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.

Repair CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).

STEP 2. Use M.U.T.-III to confirm a diagnosis code of other systems.


Check that the other ECU performing CAN communication with combination meter set diagnosis code No.U0151.

Q. Is diagnosis code set?

Go to Step 3.

Go to Step 4.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.


Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the e-Call control unit.
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(3)Check if diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the SRS-ECU (Refer to GROUP 52B - SRS-ECU).

STEP 4. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.


Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the e-Call control unit.
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(3)Check if diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Replace the e-Call control unit (Refer to ).
