  • Park the vehicle in an open area where radio wave is not shielded.
  • When replacing the ECU, always check that the communication circuit is normal.

If an emergency call is not transferred, the TEL antenna or the e-Call control unit may fail.

PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Confirm that the vehicle is parked properly.


Check that the vehicle is parked in an open area.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.

Move the vehicle to an open area.

STEP 2. Check test mode


Execute "Test call" in the test mode (Refer to ).

Q. Is the check result normal?

Intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction).

Replace the TEL antenna (Refer to ). Then go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Retest the system


Q. Is the check result normal?

The diagnosis is complete.

Replace the e-Call control unit (Refer to ).
