INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

>>A<< ENGINE OIL PAN INSTALLATION

1.Remove sealant from the engine oil pan and cylinder block surfaces.

2.Apply a bead of the sealant to the cylinder block mating surface of the engine oil pan as shown.
Specified sealant: ThreeBond 1207F or equivalent
note Install the engine oil pan immediately after applying sealant.
3.
caution When inserting the engine oil pan to the cylinder block, pay attention not to allow the sealant applied to engine oil pan to contact other parts.
Install the engine oil pan to the cylinder block from the gap between the oil screen assembly and the crossmember that was secured when the engine oil pan was removed.

4.
caution After the installation, until a sufficient period of time (one hour or more) elapses, do not apply the oil or water to the sealant application area or start the engine.
Tighten the engine oil pan mounting bolts to the specified torque. Be careful when installing, as the engine oil pan mounting bolts (indicated in the illustration) have different lengths from the other bolts.
Tightening torque: 9.0 ± 3.0 N·m
5.Install the power steering gear box and of the tube clamp. (Refer to GROUP 37 - Power Steering Gear Box and Linkage ).
6.Connect the steering column shaft assembly and the power steering gear box assembly. (Refer to GROUP 37 - Power Steering Gear Box and Linkage ).
