Pre-removal Operation
  • Engine Room Under Cover Removal (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ) <2WD>.
  • Under Skid Plate and Engine Room Under Cover Removal (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ) <4WD>.
  • Engine Coolant Draining (Refer to ).
  • Timing Belt and Timing Belt B Removal (Refer to GROUP 11A - Timing Belt ).

Post-installation Operation
  • Timing Belt and Timing Belt B Installation (Refer to GROUP 11A - Timing Belt ).
  • Engine Coolant Refilling (Refer to ).
  • Engine Room Under Cover Installation (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ) <2WD>.
  • Under Skid Plate and Engine Room Under Cover Installation (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ) <4WD>.

caution
  • Care must be taken not to permit engine oil or other greases to adhere to the cooling water line O-ring.
  • When inserting the water pump inlet pipe, check to be sure that there is no sand, dirt, etc. on its inner surface.

Fit the cooling water line O-ring to the groove in the water pump inlet pipe. Then lubricate the cooling water line O-ring and the inside of the water pump with water, and then insert the water pump inlet pipe to the water pump.
