caution Do not rotate rotor of the water pump on the dry condition.
Pre-removal Operation
  • Power Steering Oil Pump and A/C Compressor Drive Belt, Alternator Drive Belt Removal (Refer to GROUP 11E - Crankshaft Pulley ).
  • Catalytic Converter Removal (Refer to GROUP 17 - Emission Control, Catalytic Converter ).
  • Oil Return Pipe Removal (Refer to GROUP 15 - Turbocharger assembly ).
  • Thermostat Removal (Refer to ).

 Post-installation Operation
  • Thermostat Installation (Refer to ).
  • Oil Return Pipe Installation (Refer to GROUP 15 - Turbocharger assembly ).
  • Catalytic Converter Installation (Refer to GROUP 17 - Emission Control, Catalytic Converter ).
  • Power Steering Oil Pump and A/C Compressor Drive Belt, Alternator Drive Belt Installation (Refer to GROUP 11E - Crankshaft Pulley ).

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT

Tighten water pump mounting bolts to the specified torque in the order of number shown in the illustration.
Tightening torque: 24 ± 3 N·m
