Pre-removal Operation
  • Engine Room Under Cover Removal (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ) <2WD (Except High Rider)>.
  • Under Skid Plate and Engine Room Under Cover Removal (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ) <2WD (High Rider), 4WD>.
  • Engine Coolant Draining (Refer to ).
  • Exhaust Manifold Removal (Refer to GROUP 15 - Exhaust Manifold <4G6> ).
  • Thermostat Removal (Refer to ).

Post-installation Operation
  • Thermostat Installation (Refer to ).
  • Exhaust Manifold Installation (Refer to GROUP 15 - Exhaust Manifold <4G6> ).
  • Engine Coolant Refilling (Refer to ).
  • Engine Room Under Cover Installation (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ) <2WD (Except High Rider)>.
  • Under Skid Plate and Engine Room Under Cover Installation (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ) <2WD (High Rider), 4WD>.

caution
  • Care must be taken not to permit engine oil or other greases to adhere to the cooling water line O-ring.
  • When inserting the water pump inlet pipe or thermostat case water feed pipe, check to be sure that there is no sand, dirt, etc. on its inner surface.

Fit the cooling water line O-ring to the groove in the water pump inlet pipe or thermostat case water feed pipe. Then lubricate the cooling water line O-ring and the inside of the water pump or thermostat case with water, and then insert the water pump inlet pipe or thermostat case water feed pipe.
