Pre-removal Operation
  • Engine Room Under Cover (Front) Removal (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ). <2WD>
  • Under Skid Plate and Engine Room Under Cover (Front) Removal (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ). <4WD>
  • Air Cleaner Assembly Removal (Refer to GROUP 15 - Air Cleaner ).
  • Drive Belt Removal (Refer to GROUP 11A - Crankshaft Pulley ).

 Post-installation Operation
  • Drive Belt Installation (Refer to GROUP 11A - Crankshaft Pulley ).
  • Drive Belt Tension Check and Adjustment (Refer to GROUP 11A - On-vehicle Service, Drive Belt Tension Check and Adjustment ).
  • Air Cleaner Installation (Refer to GROUP 15 - Air Cleaner ).
  • Engine Room Under Cover (Front) Installation (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ). <2WD>
  • Under Skid Plate and Engine Room Under Cover (Front) Installation (Refer to GROUP 51 - Under Cover ). <4WD>

REMOVAL SERVICE POINT

<<A>> ALTERNATOR ASSEMBLY REMOVAL
Remove the alternator assembly from above the vehicle.

<<B>> ALTERNATOR ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

1.Remove the rubber shield from the wheelhouse (RH), and put the wiring harness, pipe, hose, etc. to side so that they will not be a hindrance when removing and installing the alternator assembly.
2.Remove the alternator assembly from the wheelhouse (RH).
