EGR COOLER BYPASS CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK



1.Install the vacuum gauge through the three-way finger joint to the vacuum hose (green stripe) between the EGR cooler bypass control solenoid valve and the vacuum actuator.
2.Start the engine.
3.Confirm that the vacuum gauge display satisfies the table below.
Engine conditions
Vacuum gauge display
Cold state
(coolant temperature: 40°C or less)
Vacuum exists.

  • Coolant temperature: 80°C or more
  • Intake air temperature: 10°C or more
  • Racing (2,500 r/min or more)
