EGR COOLER BYPASS CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE CHECK

1.Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the EGR cooler bypass control solenoid valve.
2.Disconnect the EGR cooler bypass control solenoid valve harness connector.

3.Use jumper leads to connect the EGR cooler bypass control solenoid valve terminal and the battery terminals.
4.Observe whether the jumper lead should be connected or disconnected to/from the battery (-) terminal, and whether the hand vacuum pump should be installed or not, and then apply negative pressure to check the air-tightness.

5.Measure the resistance between terminal No. 1 and No. 2.
Standard value: 29 - 35 Ω (at 20°C)
6.Replace the EGR cooler bypass control solenoid valve if airtightness or resistance is out of specification.
