REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION



caution Do not apply grease or lubricant to the switch and the switch installation section to avoid malfunction of the switch. In addition, do not use gloves which have grease on them.
Pre-removal Operation
  • Instrument Panel Lower Assembly Removal (Refer to GROUP 52A - Instrument Lower Panel ) <Vehicles without Knee air bag module>.
  • Knee Air Bag Module Removal (Refer to GROUP 52B - Knee Air Bag Module ) <Vehicles with Knee air bag module>.

Post-installation Operation
  • Knee Air Bag Module Installation (Refer to GROUP 52B - Knee Air Bag Module ) <Vehicles with Knee air bag module>.
  • Instrument Panel Lower Assembly Installation (Refer to GROUP 52A - Instrument Lower Panel ) <Vehicles without Knee air bag module>.
  • Clutch Pedal Adjustment (Refer to ).

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT



>>A<< STOPPER INSTALLATION


1.Insert the stopper straight into the stud bolt of the body.
Shall not insert the dash pad between stopper and body panel.
2.Install the stopper securely by turning it clockwise until its underside contacts with the body panel.
3.After the installation, slightly pull the stopper by hand to check that it cannot be removed easily (appropriate holding power: 100N or more).
