REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

<2WD (Except R6M5A)>

Pre-removal OperationMove the transmission control lever to the Neutral position.

Post-installation OperationCheck that the transmission control lever is moved to each position smoothly and correctly.

		Removal steps
	1.	Shift knob
	·	Front floor console assembly <Vehicles with front floor console assembly> (Refer to GROUP 52A - Floor Console Assembly.)

	3.	Dust cover retaining plate
	4.	Control lever cover <Vehicles without front floor console assembly>

Pre-removal OperationMove the transmission control lever and transfer control lever to the following positions.

Transmission control lever: Neutral
Transfer control lever: 4H

Post-installation OperationCheck that the transmission control lever and the transfer control lever are moved to each position smoothly and correctly.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

1.When the gearshift lever cover pad is renewed, butt one side of the pad to the other side to cone it.

2.Install the gearshift lever cover pad as shown.

1.Install the gearshift lever cover pad as shown.
2.Align the gearshift lever cover pad vertically so that it is within the height of the dust cover.
