DISASSEMBLY SERVICE POINT

<<A>> BALL BEARING REMOVAL
caution Do not allow the special tool to contact the spacer.

Use special tool Bearing remover (MD998917) to remove the ball bearing.

REASSEMBLY SERVICE POINTS

>>A<< CONE SPRING INSTALLATION

Install the cone spring in the indicated orientation.

>>B<< SNAP RING INSTALLATION

1.Install the bearing in the transfer case plate.
2.Choose and assemble a suitable snap ring to ensure that the input gear end play is at the standard value.
Standard value: 0 - 0.06 mm

>>C<< BEARING INSTALLATION

Use special tools to install the bearing.

  • Installer cap (MD998812)
  • Installer adapter (52) (MD998825)

>>D<< SNAP RING INSTALLATION

Choose and assemble a suitable snap ring to ensure that the input gear end play is at the standard value.
Standard value: 0 - 0.06 mm
