DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITION

10 minutes after the start of driving, when a status continues for 12 seconds with which the input voltage from fluid temperature sensor 2 is higher than 4.89 V (2 drive cycle), the code No. P2743 is set.

PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III data list

Item 7: A/T fluid temperature sensor 2 (Refer to Data List Table ).

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Measure the resistance at A/T control solenoid valve assembly.

Disconnect the connector, and measure the resistance between terminal OTS2 line and GSE2 line at the sensor side.
OK:

  • Approx. 6.5 Ω (at 10°C)
  • Approx. 3.5 Ω (at 25°C)
  • Approx. 0.25 Ω (at 110°C)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Replace the A/T fluid temperature sensor 2 and solenoid harness.

STEP 3. Measure the resistance at A/T control solenoid valve assembly.

Disconnect the connector, and measure the resistance between terminal GSE2 line and earth at the wiring harness side.
OK: Approx. 14 Ω

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.
Go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Check for open circuit in GSE2 line between A/T control solenoid valve assembly connector and A/T-ECU connector.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 5. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.

Check again if the diagnosis code is set.

Q. Is diagnosis code No.P2743 set?

Replace the A/T-ECU.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).

STEP 6. Measure the voltage at A/T control solenoid valve assembly.

(1)Disconnect the connector, and measure the voltage between terminal OTS2 line and earth at the wiring harness side.
(2)Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
OK: 4.5 - 5.1 V

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Go to Step 7.

STEP 7. Check for open circuit in OTS2 line between A/T control solenoid valve assembly connector and A/T-ECU connector.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
