DISASSEMBLY

1. BRAKE PISTON NO. 2 REMOVAL

While pushing the brake piston No. 2 by hand, apply compressed air [392kPa (4kg/cm2)] into the oil passage as shown in the illustration and remove the brake piston No. 2 from the brake cylinder No. 2.

2. O-RING REMOVAL

Remove the 2 O-rings from the brake piston No. 2.

3. ONE-WAY CLUTCH INNER RACE REMOVAL

Remove the one-way clutch inner race from the one-way clutch No. 3.

4. O-RING REMOVAL

Remove the O-ring from the low/reverse brake piston.

5. O-RING REMOVAL

Remove the 2 O-rings from the brake reaction sleeve.

6. O-RING REMOVAL

Remove the 2 O-rings from the inner brake piston No. 4.

REASSEMBLY

1. O-RING INSTALLATION

1.Coat 2 new O-rings with ATF.
2.Install the O-rings to the inner brake piston No. 4.

2. O-RING INSTALLATION

1.Coat 2 new O-rings with ATF.
2.Install the O-rings to the brake reaction sleeve.

3. O-RING INSTALLATION

1.Coat a new O-ring with ATF.
2.Install the O-ring to the low/reverse brake piston.

4. ONE-WAY CLUTCH INNER RACE INSTALLATION

1.Coat the one-way clutch inner race and the one-way clutch No. 3 with ATF.
2.Install the one-way clutch inner race to the one-way clutch No. 3.

5. O-RING INSTALLATION

1.Coat 2 new O-rings with ATF.
2.Install the O-rings to the brake piston No. 2.

6. BRAKE PISTON NO. 2 INSTALLATION

1.Coat the brake cylinder No. 2 and the brake piston No. 2 with ATF.

caution Be careful not to damage the O-rings.
Install the brake piston No. 2 to the brake cylinder No. 2.
