GEAR OIL CHANGE

Vehicle is lifted (not standing on wheels)

1.Remove the filler plug and gasket.
2.Remove the drain plug and gasket, and drain the oil.
3.Tighten the drain plug and new gasket, to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 60 ± 10 N·m

4.Fill the Mitsubishi Motors Genuine Super Hypoid Gear Oil ECOLOGY API GL-5 SAE 80 or Mitsubishi Motors Genuine LSD Gear Oil until the level satisfies the specification.

Mitsubishi Motors Genuine Super Hypoid Gear Oil ECOLOGY API GL-5 SAE 80 <Normal differential, Hybrid limited slip differential, Differential lock>, Mitsubishi Motors Genuine LSD Gear Oil <Multi plate limited slip differential>
Amount to use:
2WD (except High rider)
<Size and number of the nuts securing the differential carrier assembly (M8×10)>: 1.5 L
2WD (High rider), 4WD
<Size and number of the nuts securing the differential carrier assembly (M8×10)>: 1.8 L
<Size and number of the nuts securing the differential carrier assembly (M10×10, M10×12)>: 2.3 L

5.Install the filler plug and new gasket, then tighten them to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 50 ± 10 N·m

Vehicle is standing on wheels

1.Remove the filler plug and gasket.
2.Remove the drain plug and gasket, and drain the oil.
3.Tighten the drain plug and new gasket, to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 60 ± 10 N·m

4.Fill the Mitsubishi Motors Genuine Super Hypoid Gear Oil ECOLOGY API GL-5 SAE 80 or Mitsubishi Motors Genuine LSD Gear Oil until the level satisfies the specification.
