Code No. C1900: Tyre ID code No. registration



caution If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION


When the ID codes of the TPMS transmitter is not stored in ETACS-ECU, and/or when ETACS-ECU is replaced with a new one, this code is set. If the ID registration mode is terminated forcibly or timeout after 1 or more TPMS transmitters are registered in the ID registration mode, the ID codes in the ETACS-ECU is erased, and this diagnosis code is set.

PROBABLE CAUSES


The most likely causes for this diagnosis code to be set is:


DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnosis.


Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ). On completion, go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.


Recheck if the diagnosis code is set.
(1)Turn the ignition switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) to "ON" position.
(2)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
(3)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.

Q. Is diagnosis code No. C1900 set?

Register the ID codes (Refer to ). Then go to Step 3.
The procedure is complete.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.


Recheck if the diagnosis code is set.
(1)Turn the ignition switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) to "ON" position.
(2)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
(3)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.

Q. Is diagnosis code No. C1900 set?

Replace the ETACS-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54A - ETACS-ECU), and register the ID codes (Refer to ). Then start over at Step 4.
The procedure is complete.

STEP 4. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.


Recheck if the diagnosis code is set.
(1)Turn the ignition switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) to "ON" position.
(2)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
(3)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.

Q. Is diagnosis code No. C1900 set?

Go to Step 1.
The procedure is complete.
