Check that ABS warning lamp, brake
warning lamp, ASTC indicator lamp and ASTC OFF indicator
lamp illuminate as follows.

1.When the ignition switch
is turned to the "ON" position, ABS warning lamps, brake
warning lamps, ASC indicator lamp and ASC OFF indicator lamp
illuminate.
2.The ABS warning lamps, brake warning
lamps, ASC indicator lamp and ASC OFF indicator lamp
illuminate for three seconds*1 and then
turn "OFF"*2.
3.Otherwise, check
the diagnosis code.

- *1: The ABS warning
lamp, ASTC indicator lamp may stay "ON"
until the vehicle speed reaches 25
km/h. As far as ASTC-ECU sets any
diagnosis code related to the wheel
speed sensor malfunction or the motor
malfunction as past trouble, ASTC-ECU
continues illuminating the ABS warning
lamp until it verifies that the
malfunction for that code is resolved
(startup check).
If the steering
wheel sensor or the G and yaw rate
sensor system was detected to be
defective during ignition switch being
"ON" at the last time, the ASTC
indicator lamp will illuminate until the
vehicle speed reaches approximately 25
km/h, then the steering wheel is
turned to either right or left and then
the ECU determines that the system is
normal.
- *2: The brake warning
lamp does not turn "OFF" when the
parking brake is applied or the brake
fluid level is lowered.
