| caution |
- If there is any
problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnosis code may be set. Prior to this diagnosis,
diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table
 ).
- Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
- When diagnosis code No.C2206 is set in ASTC-ECU, the diagnosis code may also be set
in ETACS-ECU. When the diagnosis code is set in ETACS-ECU, carry out the diagnosis of the diagnosis
code for ETACS-ECU first.
- When the hydraulic unit (integrated with ASTC-ECU) is replaced, always carry out
the calibration of the steering wheel sensor and the G and yaw rate sensor (Refer to ).

OPERATION
ASTC-ECU receives the vehicle information stored in the ETACS-ECU via CAN bus lines.
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
The ASTC-ECU compares the last vehicle information and the information before last. If
there are any differences between the two, the ECU will set this diagnosis code.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU
- ETACS-ECUs have been interchanged between two vehicles.
- The ASTC-ECU, which was used on another vehicle, is installed on this vehicle.
- Malfunction of the hydraulic unit assembly (integrated with ASTC-ECU)
- Noise interference

Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

|

Using M.U.T.-III, check if any abnormality is present to the coding data which are stored
in the ETACS-ECU.

(1)Erase the diagnosis code.

(2)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.

(3)Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
|
|
|
(4)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
|
|
|
(5)Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
