caution Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the input and output signal circuits are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM


If none of the turn-signal lamps does not illuminate, the ignition switch (IG1), the turn-signal lamp switch input circuit or the ETACS-ECU may be defective. Using a customisation function, the turn-signal lamps can be operated even when the ignition switch is in the ACC position.

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code


Check if diagnosis code is set in the ETACS-ECU.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

Troubleshoot the ETACS-ECU (Refer to ).

Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III data list


Using the ETACS-ECU service data, check the signals related to the illumination of turn-signal lamp.

Go to Step 3.

Troubleshoot the ETACS-ECU. Refer to Inspection Procedure 2 "The ignition switch (IG1) signal is not received" .
