caution Before replacing the multivision display, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM


There is a failure in the wiring harness between the combination meter and the multivision display, the respective connector(s), the combination meter or the multivision display.

PROBABLE CAUSES



DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check the speedometer.
Check whether the speedometer works normally.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Diagnose the combination meter.

STEP 2. Check of power supply, short to earth and open circuit in SPEED line between combination meter connector and multivision display connector.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

STEP 3. Retest the system.
Check that the menu operation is not possible during driving.

Q. Is the check result normal?
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction).
Go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Substitute a known good multivision display, and check the trouble system.
Check that the menu operation is not possible during driving.

Q. Is the check result normal?
Replace the multivision display (Refer to ).
Replace the combination meter.
