GENERAL INFORMATION

The rear axle has the following features:

The wheel bearing is a double tapered roller type unit bearing and is highly resistant to a thrust load.
The drive shaft and rear differential companion shaft are combined in a single unit for fewer parts and reduced the weight.
The EBJ-DOJ constant velocity joint is adopted for the drive shaft to reduce the weight.
The resin boot is adopted for the drive shaft boot to reduce the thermal and aging deterioration.
ABS rotors for detecting the wheel speed are press-fitted to the EBJ outer race. <Vehicles with ABS>
Rear differential lock system has been adopted as optional.
