Each individual secret code is
registered inside the transmitter, and so it is necessary to
resister these codes with the EEPROM inside the receiver in
the following cases. |
|
A maximum of four different codes
can be stored in the EEPROM memory (four different
transmitters can be used). When the code for the first
transmitter is registered, the previously registered codes
for all transmitters are cleared. Therefore, if you are
using four transmitters or are adding more transmitters, the
codes for all transmitters must be registered at the same
time. |
WHEN THE SPECIAL TOOL V.C.I. (MB991824) IS USED |
1.Check that the doors lock
normally when the key is used. |
2.Insert the ignition
key. |

WHEN THE M.U.T.-III AND SWS MONITOR IS USED |
1.Check that the doors lock
normally when the ignition key is inserted into the door key
cylinder and turned. |
2.Insert the ignition key in
the ignition switch. |
3.
4.Connect the M.U.T.-III to the diagnosis connector. 5.Select "Interactive Diagnosis" from the main menu. 6.Select "System Select" from "Interactive Diagnosis". 7.Select "SWS" from "System Select". 8.Select "Others" from the "List of models." 9.Select "SWS Monitor" from "SWS". 10.If "New communication between doors" is selected from "SWS monitor", the display screen will be changed. Select "Keyless Entry" from that screen. 11.Select "Keyless ID Regist" from "Keyless Entry" items. 12.Press the YES key to clear encrypted codes for all the current registered transmitters. 13.Push the hazard warning lamp switch to clear all the encrypted codes completely. 14.Push the switch of the transmitter to be registered consecutively three times. If another transmitter is registered, push the switch of that transmitter again consecutively three times. 15.Return to the previous step. 16.Select "Recept Inspect" from "Keyless Entry" items. 17.Push the transmitter switch. If the transmitter can receive signal normally, the screen will show variation of the received signals and whether the transmitter switch has been registered or not.
19.Remove the M.U.T.-III. 20.Disconnect the SWS monitor. 21.Check that the keyless entry system works normally. |
