REMOVAL SERVICE POINTS

<<A>> DOOR OPENING WEATHERSTRIP OUTER REMOVAL

Make a fabricated tool as shown in the illustration to remove the door opening weatherstrip outer.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

>>A<< DOOR OPENING WEATHERSTRIP INNER INSTALLATION


Align the mark on the door opening weatherstrip inner with the notch at the vehicle bode side as shown.

>>B<< DOOR OPENING WEATHERSTRIP OUTER INSTALLATION
1.Remove remnants of double-sided adhesive tape from the door opening weatherstrip outer and the body thoroughly.
2.Use the specified Parts Cleaner (MZ100387 or equivalent) to degrease the double-sided tape area of the door opening weatherstrip outer and its corresponding body side.
3.Apply the specified primer to the double-sided adhesive tape surface. Then dry it off sufficiently.
Specified primer: 3M ATD Part No.K-540NT or equivalent

4.Apply a double-sided adhesive tape to the door opening weatherstrip outer as shown.
Double-sided tape: 3M ATD Part No.SF6812 or equivalent 1.2 mm thickness, 7.0 mm width and 20.0 mm length.
5.Tear off the double-sided tape backing paper.
note If attach the adhesive tape to the edge of the backing paper, it will be easy to tear off.
6.Install the door opening weatherstrip outer.
note If the double-sided tape is difficult to affix in cold temperature, etc., warm the bonding surfaces before affixing the tape.
Body: 40 - 60°C
Door opening weatherstrip outer: 20 - 30°C
7.Apply the door opening weatherstrip outer securely by pressing it against the vehicle body.

>>C<< DOOR WATERPROOF FILM INSTALLATION

caution When sticking the door waterproof film, ensure that the sealant is applied under the inner panel water drain hole.
Apply the specified sealant to the door waterproof film as shown and stick the film.
Specified sealant: 3M ATD Part No.8625 or equivalent
